What is vitality??

From an ancient Ayurvedic Text, the definition of health:

A person whose basic emotional and physical tendencies are in balance, whose digestive power is balanced, whose bodily tissues, elimination functions and activities are in balance, and whose mind, senses and soul are filled with vitality, that person is said to be healthy.

YES! This aligns perfectly with functional medicine and siddha medicine. In siddha, it is samana. In functional medicine, it is the gut microbiome. The essentials of how we live is through how we interact with our environment the most. Yes this means food and water. Absolutely be conscious of what you put in your body. It is so important.

Of course in eastern traditions, this also means right mind and right knowledge. What we consume in terms of info and how we interact with others.

I am committed to vitality. I would love to invite you to write what you believe vitality is. What does that mean to you? And does it change as you get older? This is an amazing exercise to help us understand ourselves in a deeper way.
